I don’t know about you, but I love coffee; hot or cold, it’s my favorite “veggie.” In fact, one of my favorite songs is by a singer named John Gorka, who wrote an ode to coffee called  St. Caffeine.

If you’re like me and consider coffee a food group, here’s a treat you may like.

Writer and all-around genius Jerry James Stone has created  a recipe for coffee and cream vegan sorbet! Of course, you can serve it any time of year, but I think it would be especially delicious sitting outdoors with friends as the sun sets.

“I don’t drink a lot of coffee,” Jerry writes in Treehugger. “However, when I cook with it, it’s no holds barred.”

His recipe uses coffee, soy milk, brown sugar, and vanilla. (He suggests enjoying it “with a white Port, preferably one with caramel notes.”)
